When the largest experiment in history began in industrial construction, just like cars, refrigerators and TVs, houses also turned into consumer goods. During collectivisation in the USSR, block buildings were erected rapidly to solve a key task — providing a large number of people with housing in a short time and at minimal cost. So panel blocks appeared and what was previously considered a masterpiece of the future from Le Corbusier, is seen today as symbol of a bad taste. Despite this, in Malaysia, former USSR countries, China, South Korea, and many others, tower blocks are used for exactly the same purpose, namely, to accommodate more people in the least number of square meters, with minimal needs.
