We arrived at Kochkor in the afternoon and typically did not book anything in advance, so we had to look for accommodation on the spot. I have long come to the conclusion that some of the most memorable moments in the trip are hardships and inconveniences, and some of the most valuable photos from travels are not only beautifully captured photographs of attractions, but also photographs of residents and the life of the region where I arrived. Kochkor is the perfect place for this, with street vistas stretching out into the rugged mountains and warm homes of the locals.
