It has gone dark pretty fast. We are looking for a place to spend the night. Knocked on the gates, confused residents come out. There are a couple of houses on the yard, a family lives in one, in the other, they say there is house for just us. The hostess said the place is in competition with her ex-husband’s hostel, and that she was glad we knocked in to her door. She therefore gave us a room at a discounted price. We were also satisfied. We were heading from Osh to Bishkek, while a beautiful view opened while passing the reservoir. The Toktogul reservoir is the largest in Central Asia, and in Kyrgyzstan too, even among natural lakes, only Issyk-Kul is larger. We decided to stay here for a couple of nights.
