According to legend, when Princess Olga was standing on the shore of the Great River, she had a vision where three beams of light from the sky, came together on the opposite bank. At this place the princess has ordered to build a cathedral in honour of the Holy Trinity and the city around it. According to this legend, the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Pskov is the first Christian church in Russia.
