The historic city of mosques Bagerhat, is located in the district with the same name in southern Bangladesh. Until recently it was considered lost but today has acquired UNESCO status. The population of Bagerhat is 1.5 million, which is equivalent to the population of Estonia with an area of 10 times larger. Once in the impenetrable jungle around Bagerhat was a habitat of Bengal tigers. Later, tigers in the area have been replaced by people, founded around 360 mosques, many public buildings, mausoleums, roads and bridges. Today however even those remains a bit.
