When you think of Rajasthan you imagine cities overexposed by tourists. Almost all notable cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Pushkar have been promoted to the greedy culture absorber, with the exception of Fatehpur. This little and barely visited place in the north of Rajasthan boasts with its havelis for its elaborate and intricate frescos. For over three centuries these houses were belonging to wealthy merchants before the families began moving to larger cities like New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. As a result most of these buildings were left abandoned or locked up, or given to some other families to take care of something was previously luxurious.
